- It doesn’t happen in a single day—it’s a slow, quiet fading.
When a person begins to abandon Prayer (Salah), it starts with a delay. Then comes the excuses of work, and eventually, it becomes a habit. In the end, it’s not just that he left the prayer—it feels as though the prayer itself has left him.
Do you know what happens then?
The Noor (Divine Light) that once resided within his heart begins to flicker and die.
A time comes when even the mention of Islam feels like a burden to him.
When given sincere advice, he dismisses it as "old-fashioned."
He no longer seeks to understand, because his heart has lost the capacity to perceive.
Consider this example—
Imagine a room that has been locked for a long time. Inside, filth and foul odors have gathered.
Suddenly, a light is switched on.
Those who have sight immediately realize, "This place needs to be cleaned." But a person who is blind—will the light change anything for him?
No.
Because the problem is not with the light; the problem is with the eyes.
Similarly, when a heart is blinded by the darkness of sin and the abandonment of Salah, even if the magnificent light of the Qur'an shines before it, the soul remains unmoved. It cannot feel the warmth of the truth anymore.
